About Me

If you told me a year ago that I would be going on an eleven month mission trip or sharing my poetry publicly, I probably would have laughed at you. Crazy how God works, right? My poetry has always been so personal to me, so much so that no one in my family even knew that I wrote poems to begin with. But, after taking a creative writing class during my sophomore year at Hardin-Simmons University, I figured it was about time to start sharing my works. I mean, if I could do it with a class of strangers, I could share it with the people most important to me. So, here we are...I'm taking the first steps in sharing my work. 

I strongly believe that reading poetry is like looking at the world through someone else's eyes. Throughout this page, I invite you to experience that world that I see, the life that I live. Even though poetry is only a creative outlet for me, I am proud of my works and hope that you enjoy them just as much as I do:)
